On the Slip in Palma

This winter has been one of the busiest in recent times for classics surrounding the Astilleros shipyard-facility at the centre of Palma’s busy yachting port. Well known for building ‘Jessica’, now Adix, in 1984 and in more recent times synonymous with the black hulled 1927 Camper & Nicholson 3-masted Schooner, Creole, that lies alongside for lengthy winter periods, these last few months have attracted others in search of all the facilities and amenities that comes with this bustling Balearic port.

Two other schooners, the mighty Germania and the pretty Shenandoah have been in, joined by Kelpie of Falmouth and the 12-Metre Seven Seas. Many have been served by the rigging company TEC (Trabajos en Cabos). Based just outside the shipyard they serve both modern and classic yachts with high end products and craftsmanship and the above yachts are just a few on their long list from this winter.
