The new J – Topaz – debuts at St Barths Bucket.

Downwind, Topaz, Ranger & Velsheda - St Barths, 2016

Three J-Class yachts attended this years St Barths Bucket Regatta running from the 17th-20th March. Two tried and tested: the CE Nicholson design Velsheda and the Starling Burgess design Ranger were both in top form and constantly vying for first position. The third was the newly built Frank Paine design Topaz who boasts the longest waterline amongst the J-Class fleet with the highest keel aspect ratio combined with the lowest wetted surface area. Launched in 2015 this was her first regatta and she was not far off the pace from her rivals as can be seen by the downwind photo above.
