Reported to be in San Diego, USA, in 2007 and in need of major restoration works. 2008 – at ‘Traditional Boat Works’ Yard in San Diego awaiting a new owner.

“After about the 10th of January, 2017, the California 32 hull of Altamar (owned by Doug Jones of Traditional Boat Works) will be in Port Townsend, Washington. Her hull is still for sale and Doug (and his boat building partner Robert D’Arcy) would be delighted to talk about options for rebuilding her into a spectacular cruising/racing boat”, Ginny Jones.

“Jay Jones was my Step-Father. He bought the Altamar in the early 1960’s. I sailed on this boat to Catalina almost every summer and when we could in the winter. Jay won the Lipton cup on the Altamar”, Debbie Travis-Moore.
