Originally a gaff rigged yawl but later converted to a bermudan ketch.

Sumurun

She had a refit in 1995 at Wayfarer Marine, Camden.   Sumurun then won the Classic Division of the Atlantic Challenge Cup in 1997 at 83 yrs old! Refitted in Maine for 2005 and before the next Atlantic Challenge in May of the same year where she raced against her fellow classics, Mariella and Nordwind.

2019

Relaunched on Friday, July 19, 2019 after 18 months of restoration to return her to her original condition, at the Chantier du Guip in Brest (France).
Cost of the works: 1 million euros.
