Launched as ‘Leonore’, Â she was built for Robert Amory of Boston at a cost of $7,500. Â She was then shipped to Halifax, Nova Scotia, and sailed to Marblehead. Â In 1965 she won the prestigious San Diego Lipton Cup. Â She has been rebuilt by Dennis Conner who had a team of specialists led by San Diego shipwright Bill Clark. Â Re-named ‘Cotton Blossom II’ she was launched on 14/10/04 at a ceremony at the San Diego Yacht Club. Â Cotton Blossom II took part in subsequent Mediterranean regattas with Dennis Connor on board.
After a change of ownership her name was returned back to ‘Leonore’.
