Marga

Marga took part in the 1912 Stockholm Olympic Games with the Swedish team where only two races were held. The yacht designer, Bertil Bothén, was amongst the crew. Marga came fourth, the other Swedish contender, ‘Kitty’ came first with Nina(Finland) and Gallia II(Russia) finishing second and third respectively.

A Swedish magazine of the time described her as having “a strong hull with aggressive forms, even a little brutal, but with a sail plan more beautiful than any other Swedish yacht”.

Undergoing restoration (2010-2015) and project managed by Enrico Zaccagni.

Restoration post here.
