Escape

Rigged as a staysail schooner her most recent owner (the fifth) bought her in 2006 from a Los Angeles shipyard. The bulkhead planks between the masts had been replaced and the keel bolts had been examined by x-ray.

Escape then proceeded to France using only her sails.

2008 – In France the roof structure was completely restored in sapele and the hull was painted.
2012 – she participated in the Fête de Douarnenez.
2013 – the electrical system was replaced (new set of batteries and charger)
