Raak

‘Raak’ was built to the First International Rule for Eilif Von Erpecom as a Spissgattere (double-ender).   He only owned her for a season during which time he raced at Europe Week, 1914 and came 4th. She was later seized by the Germans during the second World War and over the following eighty years she went through several owners and renamed three times: ‘Ullabrand IV’ in 1921, back to ‘Raak’ in 1925 and then as ‘Vici’ in 1952.

In 1998 she was bought by Andersen Kjell N. who painstakingly restored her with his excellent carpentry skills, brought back her original name and had her sailing at Europe Week in 2000.

A full century after her first Europe Week she attended again to the 2014 event.
