Lady Corinne

Lady Corinne’s build was started at Hillyards in Littlehampton in 1939 and the hull completed before the yard was obliged to turn its attention to the war effort. During the War years she lay in a mud berth where the salt water preserved her timbers until she was finished and commissioned in 1945. She was incidentally the first boat to be launched from that yard after the war.

She has had a colourful life including many years as an RAF adventure training yacht; replacing one of their Windfalls; the former Luftwaffe owned yachts, which had foundered on rocks somewhere off the French coast.

New owners returned to Chichester in 2015 from a 16 day Trans Atlantic crossing. Prior to that she had cruised extensively in the Caribbean, during which period she also entered her in the 2010 Antigua Classics, achieving a 2nd in class and 2nd place in the privately maintained Concours d’ Elegance.
