Karenita

Launched as Karenita she is often better known as the actor Errol Flynn’s ‘Sirocco’ (the name he gave here following his previous Sirocco when he bought her in 1938). She hosted many famous personalities in the heyday of Hollywood, and more recently has been the flagship of the fashion clothing company ‘Blanc Bleu’.

“I first saw this yacht in 1969 out of water in Redondo Beach near the Chart House. It was owned by a couple from Redondo who were friends of my friend who took me to see it. It was so beautiful. We were able to go aboard to see the interior. Next time I was on board was off Lahaina harbor on Maui in 1971.  Several brothers/friends from Santa Barbara were the owners and they were headed to the South Seas. Oh how I wished I could have sailed away with them.” Memory courtesy of Lynne

Karenita was restored from 1989 to 1990 by Bill Coffman.
