Commissioned by Sir William Burton, helmsman of Sir Thomas Lipton’s America’s Cup challenger Shamrock IV, she was the longest 12-Metre ever built.
She has been abandoned for many years in Vancouver, Canada and after being dis-assembled she was transported in a container to the Robbe & Berking Shipyard in Flensburg, Germany.
“Almost exactly 80 years since her launch in 1939, Jenetta, the longest 3rd rule 12m ever built, was relaunched at the Robbe and Berking Classics yard in Flensburg in June, 2019. After a meticulous rebuild, she soon proved her Mylne provenance with some emphatic results at the R&B Sterling Cup, including a first”, Mylne Classic Yacht Design.
