Class: Manhasset Bay One Design

MBOD

The Manhasset Bay One Design (MBOD) was originally called the ‘Sound Junior Class’ and was designed by Olin Stephens and established in 1928 after a little convincing by Drake Sparkman for the Larchmont YC to adopt a small class for its junior members. The first one was built at Buckhout in Poughkeepsie on the Hudson River and launched in July, 1929.
