Tonino was built for King Alphonso XIII who owned her until 1931. He also owned the 15-Metre Hispania and the two yachts frequently sailed on passages together. King Alphonso raced Tonino himself and Hispania was used to carry the royal party.
Restoration
1993 – Canaletti Yard, La Spezia, Italy – Original rig restored, major structural repairs.
2017 – Bought by The Classic Yacht Experience who also own the schooner’s Puritan and Orianda and another 10-Metre, Marga.
