Seatang

SEATANG - 2011
Seatang at her mooring in 2011
Seatang was listed for sale at Carrickfergus Marina in County Antrim in 2009, and according to the sale particulars seemed to be in good order. The boat had an extensive refit in 2001, and regular work up to the middle of the decade. Seatang had an 11.5 hp Vetus diesel on board, the boat still had the original wooden mast, and a fair inventory of tan sails and equipment – including a very useful cabin heater (most boats don’t have a heater, although Salnahas one, as does Saunterer).
An early photograph of Seatang appears in the Clyde Cruising Club Journal of 1967.

She was spotted near Portaferry, Strangford Lough in Northern Ireland during 2011, and now we know her new owner is Ben Gobin, who continues to keep her on Strangford Lough.
