Yacht: Sally

Submit Information on this Yacht

Previous names include ‘Teal’ and ‘Redhead’.

In the late 1940’s and early 1950s there were 5 of the  Burgess/Abeking 10’s in southern California. Sally had a light turquoise topside colour paint officially entitled ‘Sally Blue’. Still in San Diego. (Valerio Giannini)

The Bob Griesner photos above show a new owner CF Koehler’s taking Sally out for a sail on San Diego Bay after a two year reconstruction from the keel up. All new Honduras mahogany planking and alternating steam bent oak with cold-formed steel angles make up the frames.
