Built for and owned by Donnelly, a Hobart ship’s chandler and sailed in Tasmanian waters until 1952 when she was sold to Melbourne.
Name changed to ‘Bikini’ in recognition of the nuclear tests on the atolls of that name. Subsequent owners believed her to have been built in 1952 and named Bikini as original.
AMSA number 854994. Bought by present owner in 1992 in Melbourne and sailed North via the Torres Straits to Fremantle, Western Australia.
