Lisbet

Lisbet – her maiden sail with Mr Jacob at the helm
“…..originally built for Edwin Ellis Jacob in 1938. Mr Jacob had been a member of the 1924 Olympic 8m crew. The boat was a Fife designed and built 8m called Emily. She is still sailing. The crew won an Olympic silver medal.
Lisbet was Mr Jacob’s  retirement present to himself.
Incidentally the 8m Emily was bought by Mr Dallimore after the Olympics. He cruised and raced her with great success.
She has just undergone a restoration and now(July, 2020) lives in Penryn at Freeman’s wharf.”
