Commissioned by Dorothy C Rogers, the original price in 1929 was $1,100.
Featured in a ‘Wooden Boat’ article on maintenance in the early 80’s.
Bill Detert acquired her from Mr Beetle through Dion’s Boatyard in Kittery and owned her for about 15-18 years. He sailed her to Newcastle, ME and eventually sold her for use on the Hudson.
Owned from 1995 – 2013 by Ugo Baravalle of Torino, Italy.
A Milanese Lawyer bought her in 2013. He had her restored by the Sanremo based shipbuilder, Rik Warner. Soon to be reverted to her original name of Whitecap.
