Diamond was built by Charles Sibbick and Co in 1897. She has a fin and bulb keel and is of the skimming dish type of Half Rater popular at the time.
Diamond was exhibited fully rigged at the International Yachting Exhibition at the Imperial Institute, Kensington, London in the summer of 1897. She was then sold and sailed in the Mediterranean and then in Russia and has been recreated by Martin Nott at the Boat Building Academy in Lyme Regis, using modern materials and methods with a traditional look.
