Designed a number of Metre Rule boats and a number of offshore cruisers. Slotte studied boat design in Charlottenburg in Germany and practiced in a number of shipyards in Finland, Germany and Holland. He was employed by Crichton and Wärtsilä shipyard and Det Norske Veritas. He was also a life member of the Helsinki Yacht Club.
