Senta

Senta

In 1933 she was turned over to the Abeking  Rasmussen yard for refurbishment and modifications to make her faster.   She was given her Wishbone rig which made her easier to handle.

She has been owned by the Schmidt family for over 60 years.

“I do not have much more information, however this yacht seems to match the description of a boat that my grandfather maybe purchased after WW2 in Germany. I know he sailed around France and some of Europe before eventually selling it. The story goes that he couldn’t find anyone else to sail it back to the US with him. My parents have the pendant.  I would love to find out more about who the Schmidt family is if you know and if they are still the owners. And really just any more information that might be out there.” Stern Tigler
