Leonore

Launched as ‘Leonore’,  she was built for Robert Amory of Boston at a cost of $7,500.   She was then shipped to Halifax, Nova Scotia, and sailed to Marblehead.   In 1965 she won the prestigious San Diego Lipton Cup.   She has been rebuilt by Dennis Conner who had a team of specialists led by San Diego shipwright Bill Clark.   Re-named ‘Cotton Blossom II’ she was launched on 14/10/04 at a ceremony at the San Diego Yacht Club.   Cotton Blossom II took part in subsequent Mediterranean regattas with Dennis Connor on board.

After a change of ownership her name was returned back to ‘Leonore’.
