Gunga Din

The below quotes are an e-mail from the current owner keen to find out more (2009)

“The designer was Erik Estlander (not the famous Estlander, but maybe a relative ?).   I dont have the original documents,  but the former owner has done some research.   An advert from an old newspaper indicates that 3 “Auxiliary Cruisers mod. 129” were shipped to South Africa in the early fourties.   I have reasons to believe that my boat is the only one left in the north, but I would be thrilled to find out about what happened to the “South African 129 s”.   “If there is a “129” left in her original shape I would be delighted to know about it!   That could really help me in my efforts to bring my boat back to its original appearance.”

Below image most likely taken between 1935-1940 in Pompano Beach, Florida.
